"Try calling during working hours"

Wednesday's band practice could NOT come around fast enough lol.
I can HARDLY sleep and I have NOTHING to do during the days either - what with it being PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE to get a job during the credit crunch.
The way I see it is you have to WANT it more than your competition. Ok, so I'm not sleeping too well at the moment, but I have TRIED to use this to my advantage.

Job Searching

Whilst I am VERY confident that my rock career is just DAYS away from taking off, Nan convinced me today that I should (JUST IN CASE) apply for a few jobs.

Ok, so it is NOT as easy as I thought to find a job after a SMALL amount of time out of work. I thought that with MY cooking experience I would WALK into a Chef's job.
Not so. lol. I had NOT factored in the credit crunch.
For those of you who are BLISSFULLY happy and earning BUCKET loads of cash you may ONLY have heard of the credit crunch on the news, but believe me it NOT a myth.
I asked for a FULL explanation from a friend of a friend who was in the pub last night who had JUST lost his job and was down visiting from LONDON. I asked him to explain to me in Layman's terms EXACTLY what the problem is, and he PUNCHED ME in the HEAD It didn't hurt, but I was TOTALLY baffled - turns out he THOUGHT I was taking the piss???? lmao
Talk about EGGY lol.

Despite these problems, and AGAINST the odds I will DEFO get a good job. I will try and try and try. I will fight for my country in this war on credit.
Trouble is, no matter HOW many applications I send off, NO-ONE is taking on ANY jobs at the moment - NOT lolTold a BIT of a white lie to this one. She couldn't prove me wrong though.

What about if I add a couple of things to my cv, that are more 'creative'? I can mould balloons, see, but I thought juggling was more commercial.

Any thoughts?

I have a LOT of experience in web designing. This is why I have contacted you. If I send over an example of a website I have designed will you have a look and let me know; either way if it is of a suitable standard?

Bass Guitarist Needed for SIGNED Band (September 28th, 2008 16:41 pm)

We are a band of two looking for two more. We play mainly Indie and Metal. We're made up of me (drummer) and Jally (French) on bass guitar. We're based in Plymouth but might NEED to travel in order to sort out our current situation. We need a lead singer (FED UP of doing it myself) and a lead guitarist. Have you got what it takes? Age is NO boundary. Bad attitude IS. Email me - julianmeteor2@hotmail.co.uk P-sout,

Julian

Dear Julian,

Penny and I saw your advert and are very interested in joining your band! Penny sings and I play lead guitar. I must be honest and say we are not very experienced, but I hope you can still consider joining up with us. It has always been an ambition of mine to play live, so at 34 I hope I'm not leaving it too late!I too live in Plymouth, so logistically I can see no problem. I have a few questions for you:

1. How old are you and your bandmate?
2. Who are your influences?
3. Who are you signed to?

That will do for now!

I look forward to hearing from you,

Spencer

Hi Spencer!!!

JUST when I thought I would NEVER form a band, up pops an INexperienced wannabe who is DEFO over the hill!!!!!

Luckily there is SOMEthing that makes me think this could work!!!!

In answer to your questions:

1. BOTH 32. VERY young at heart though. Think Gary Coleman, but white; and taller. I can't talk for Jally (Jacques-Antoine), you'll have to meet him!!!! ONE of a kind!!!

2. If I HAD to name ONE - Def Leppard.

3. We are NOT signed, but I was told by a friend of mine that you HAVE to say you ARE signed so as to get more attention. Hope you don't mind!!!!! (if you DO, the you can piss off!!!)

Right, that will do for now... how about we meet up for a beer and some band practice? Do you know the Britannia Inn on Wolesely Road??? The beer is CHEAP!!! and they do a special meal deal where we can BOTH get cottage pie and chips for a TOTAL of £7.50!!!!!! Sale of the FUCKING Century – EACH time!!! We can eat there, THEN go back to my nan's house and jam in her garage!!!

You MUST bring your friend Penny!!!! Is she single by the way? Hope so!!!!! Shall we say 9pm Wednesday???

Let me know; either way,

Julian

LONG time no speak - my fault, been VERY busy... with the LADIES
Are you still a SHIT HOT musician? The reason I ask is that I am out of work at the moment and I KNOW fate is telling me to join a band. With YOU as our bass player and ME on drums, the world MUST be our oyster!!!
What with France being crud and all that, how about coming to stay with me and Nan while I advertise for other band members???

Could be FUN, no?

Let me know; either way,

Hello Julian!

That returns great pleasure to me of hearing news of you! That gives me good memories of our exchanges during the summers, there is more than 10 years since, no? All girls in Plymouth, my GOD the girls in Plymouth! They do me lack! I remember also as your techniques not go as well by here! How you said it? " Can I touch your derriere?" I always tell my friends this story of when the girl from La Trinite sur Mer she slap you for, how do you say it - gropping?

Nothing changes by here. I live with my mother and my father still has Nantes. I do not have a job still since two year because I hate it to work!

As answer has your question, my mother say to me that can be very an good idea to set out again in English, can be to start again my life. I think she want no more that I live with her! She say I must first save up the silver in my pocket for the money for the ferry.

I hope to be to contact you again soon,

J-A
